Forklift Driver Training Mandated by the Government

Companies today are required to train all fork lift operators in the safe operation of the vehicle to be compliant with OSHA regulations. This is accomplished by forklift driver training in forklift safety and getting evaluated by the instructor. Many third party providers are providing on-site forklift driver training with courses that meet the OSHA mandates. The forklift driver training has two segments, the classroom component and hands on performance evaluation. Each driver must pass both of these segments in order to be OSHA certified. The coursework includes a regulatory review, operational responsibilities, maintenance and inspection, safe operation rules and a written exam. Then, each student goes through a hands-on performance evaluation to see how they apply what they have learned in the classroom to real life situations. The end result is the company maintains OSHA requirements and the workplace is safer.
